How To Get OpenVPN to Work Under Vista

Ha....
It took me a good amount of time to find out which version of OpenVPN is supported by Windows Vista. Went thru all forums and blogs but no use. My laptop was throwing me challenge each day. Atlast OpenVPN release candidate 22 from version 2.1 on 2009.11.20 fixed my issue.

OpenVPN 2.1_rc21 says they is supports Windows Vista-ready on both x86 and x64, but its not true. Only rc22 has this fix.

Another important thing, make sure your TAP-Win32 adapter is enabled. By mistake I disabled it and got the below error

"All TAP-Win32 adapters on this system are currently in use"
